We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity for an adjunct instructor to lead the course “Legal and Ethical Issues in Healthcare” within the Biological & Health Science Department. This fully online and asynchronous format allows students the flexibility to engage with the material at their convenience, without the necessity of live class meetings.
In this course, participants will explore the increasingly intricate legal and ethical dilemmas faced by professionals in the health and human services sectors. By examining a diverse range of issues, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the challenges encountered in clinical settings and how these challenges influence treatment and service decisions. The course is designed to nurture critical thinking and innovative problem-solving abilities, particularly in relation to law, ethics, and bioethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruct the course “Legal and Ethical Issues in Healthcare”.
- Facilitate student engagement and learning in a fully online environment.
- Develop and provide course materials that address complex legal and ethical dilemmas.
- Assess student progress and offer constructive feedback.
- Support students in articulating and defending their positions on bioethical matters.
